directive and gave more time to the
employee and the employee is still not
performing her duties fully and is not
accountable for her actions. All decisions

for requesting action against her

this morning I found a campaign letter for gene
bigboy underneath my windshield wiper funny
thing is I didn't get home until after 11 last night.
upon speaking with my neighbors they also had
found letters on their cars and wedged in their
screen doors. i guess our votes wasnt worth
anyone coming out and giving a handshake and
saying a few words. in any event i read gene's
campaign letter over coffee and i couldn't get over
how negative and disrespectful it sounded. he
even went so far as to compare his family size,
years married, grandfather vs. married father
status as if it makes him anymore important than
wiggins. several weeks ago mike stopped by in
person and we talked for quite awhile about his
campaign and his feelings on numerous issues
affecting our people. I also read his letter and its
very respectful and head on. he was so focused on
explaining his views and concerns he didnt make
any mention about the other candidate. not one
thing. no negativity, only the issues facing our
people. i never did take to negative campaigning
and i feel that sort of thing only clouds the real
issues. i think change has to come in a big way and
i have already shook hands with the man i will be
voting for in november.

I seen Bigboy's letter too they put it in my

anyone if I was stealing them blind for
years either. I thought his opening line was
hilarious. Mike wiggins Jr is a good guy
(BUT). thats like saying Eugene Bigboy is a
Bad River indian (BUT) he's ripped us off
like a white man. A three page graph telling
us how much better Bigboy is than Wiggins
holds no weight when we all know how
Bigboy has really been running things for
years. My favorite part was the last line
(Cast your ballot for honesty, experience,
concern, and fairness.) I'll admit Eugene
has alot of experience ripping our tribe off.
As for honesty, concern, and fairness,
these are things he knows nothing about.

As we go into another election we must
understand what is really at stake. the future of
this tribe is not the adults it is the children and the
young adults that now are growing to be the next
parent group. As I am in my 40s I know that my life is
half over.we need to sacrifice our comforts, our
lives, and anything else that may come to get in the
way of the future. We are not the future. The warior
code says.No warior will hold their own life more
important then that of the future of the tribe. yet
their are many today that hold greed and money
above the future of the tribe. The proof is not in
what people say but what people do. we must open
our eyes and let the future shine. There many here
with the capisity to be great but through systematic
abuses they are being shoved too the side.
treated as though they dont matter. So then they
become dispondent and many fall into depression
and substance abuse. If we are to survive we can
leave no one behind.Their are those that care
nothing for for the tribe, only themselves. They
would save only those that are related to them, and
sometime they dont even care for them. Also when
you bowrow money from a bank to start a
bussiness, all you have too do is pay back the
princable and a interest, and then you dont owe the
bank any more. so why is st croix going too
bowrow us money to build beloit casino, then we
have too pay back the princible and they get fiffty
percent of the proffits for life. also all the
machines in this casino come from our
compact, and St croix doesnt have too dismantal
one machine from their casino. as their compact is
full.all the machines and table games that are
going to be in this casino are ours. so why then do
have to pay them back and give them half for life.
this is because their are members of this tribe that
stand too gain finacially; while the rest of us have
nothing.the future of this tribe is not in beloit it is
right here in bad river. please stand up for the
future and vote against the beloit casino.

First of,I would like it be known that I have
never lived on Bad River and I am a Proud
Tribal member. To defeat Eugene,,it's not
the off-res,,voters needed,,because even
if Eugene Loses,he will call a recall
vote, and then only those who have
adresses listed on the res. can vote,,That's
where the problem lies. Eugene has more
than enough people who live off the res.
who keep an address on the res to always
win in the second vote. So will whoever
his side chooses to proceed him. 3/4's of
the tribes members live off the res. ,,,yet
get no voice in tribal politics ,unless,,our
numbers are needed to get more grant
moneys. Most of us off the res would do
anything to help better life for those that
are there. However,,our opinions,,voice
and own self being seems to mean nothing
to those that are on the res.,,unless our
being counted can help achieve a higher
grant and so forth. I believe Mike Wiggins
would make a great Chairman and would
be very capable of performing the task.
One day it would be nice for Bad River to
get a tribal government that cares about
ALL it's memebers and not just the ones
who can help them line thier own pockets.
Mike Wiggins is right,,there are so many
capable members that could help move
the tribe forward into a better
future..yet,,,for that to happen,,we must all
want whats best for the entire tribe and
NOT JUST THOSE MEMBERS,,each
individual likes
BadRiverSon wrote:
I wish off-res members vote would count in a
recall vote,,cause the day every members vote
does really count,,things will definitely change. I
hope that if Mike Wiggins should win,,.that he
makes use of some of the capabilities alot of
memebers have. I hope he would make changes
based on,,what's best for everyone and not just
those he likes. Eugene gets away with what he
does,,because no one yet has been able to outdo
eugenes backing ON THE RES. Euegenes backers
all have members that live off res ,who keep an
address at an on res members home,,,so with that
being said,,Mr Wiggins stands little
chance,,,unless Eugene decides to take some time
off LOL,,because if,,Eugene loses,,he will just
challenge the results and then,,,only those with an
address on the res can vote,,even if off res
members show up in force to vote against him. It's
like banging your head up against the wall LOL.
Eugene can be unseated,,,you just have to
outthink him,,and he's not that smart,,but he is
smarter than most of those who surround him. You
can't win an election against such a man,,by always
playing his game,,his way. You already know the
scenario,,so why replay it??? If this were a game a
chess,,,This man always plays the same game and
always makes the same moves. Change the moves
and the strategy and one can always win against
such a player

because they were easily lead and will do
whatever The current Chairman wants. So
how is a far Election supposed to take
place when you have simple-minded
selfish egotistical robotic morons
over-seeing the election process.
Everyone says they want a Tribal Council
that cares about the members and who will
perform thier job to the best of thier ability
but yet when they vote all most do is vote
on who they feel will swing some money to
them,thier friends,and closer family
members. I say,,if you're going to vote,,use
your vote to vote for who will do thier best
for the tribe as a whole. Council members
need to remember they represent the
entire tribe and not thier own interest.
Regardless of what they may say,,thier
actions speak louder. We have a very
weak Tribal Government on Bad River. It
seems usually what happens is,,some get
POWER and it goes right to thier
miskwasup on thier shoulders and when
confronted in private,,they always reply
the same,,,"WELL,,That's what everyone
else does" or "Has done" That BS Attitude
has to change. I know there are few jobs
on Bad River and those who have them
want to keep them,,,but when you sell your
soul to what you know is wrong,,that just
makes you wrong and shows,,YOU HAVE
NO PRIDE left in your soul because you
know deep in your soul the exact truth of
the wrong you committed. You can never
escape that,,no matter how many lies you
tell or how many other liars you get to back
you up. I also know many do not believe in
Gitche Manido nor any of the old ways. Yet
will play the part. Well Gitche Manido
ALWAYS makes things right in some way.
Those of you Guilty of wrongs within the
tribe have already payed a high price. Each
lie you make needs to be Constatnly
guarded with more lies. The people who lie
for you are the types of friends you are
surrounded by and they are also around
your loved ones,,,so Sleep well knowing
that for the right amount,,or right

fitness programs for the kids with
excersise equipment available. instead of
giving money to the fitness center in
ashland we can provide these things for
the elders too. i was talking the other day
at lunch and it seems people are worried
about kids fighting and getting into
mischief over there. a couple years ago
one of those bigboy kids was a couselor
over there an got into a fight with some
