- Chairman's Ability Questioned
During the five minute session last night,
a few issues were raised by Tribal
members. Besides the meetings There was
a question regarding the Chairman's ability
to perform his elected duties as he has
been absent for 45 days due to serious
illness. Treasurer Bernard Lemieux stated
that "tomorrow the Council and staff
members will be meeting to discuss what
should be done about the position." It was
pointed out to him that it shouldn't be a
concern to staff. It was an issue for the
Council and Tribal Members, Not any staff
employed by the Tribe as the
Chairmanship is an elected position. Tribal
Members stated that the Constitution
should be adhered to and they should act
in accordance.
